Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing experience! Today we celebrated our amazing diversity with a cultural carnival. We saw dances, listened to music, sampled foods and played instruments and games. The children even dressed in traditional clothes from different countries. We travelled from Europe to Africa first. Next we moved onto Asia, followed by the Americas and finally we came back to Ireland. We even had a flag parade!
We have been learning about materials at school. We experimented using liquids and solids to see what would happen when they are mixed. Then, we made lava lamps! It was very cool. Did you know oil and water are immiscible? First We put oil in the bottle. Next, we put water in. At first, it looked like they were mixing but an amazing thing happened. The water settled at the bottom and the oil settled on the top! This was really surprising to us because we put the water in first. It was super cool.
