Easter art in Room 9

 We made some fabulous Easter art this month. Our strands were construction and fabric and fibre so we decided to make Easter baskets and pom pom chicks or rabbits. We are very happy with how they look because we worked really hard on them.

Today was 1 of the many highlights when we had a fun hour outside in the lovely sun with Junior Infants ....the children played snakes & ladders, were building with lego, toppling over Jenga towers and there was even a bit of hairdressing !

World Book Day was another fun day when the children designed their own book mark. They showed off their great reading skills with their friends in Junior Infants! We also enjoyed our cèilì dancing in the hall for St Patrick's Day where great dancing skills were on display!

A very artistic bunch in Room 8 from constructing bouquets of flowers for Mothers Day to designing a spring lamb wreath.

Room 8 have been extremely busy and having lots of fun too! The children have enjoyed being scientists when explaining in class about the water cycle , and they also enjoyed making slime using various materials....a gooey sticky mess was created !

Skip around Europe

 Hello, this is Ireland calling! This week we started the skip around Europe challenge. So far we have skipped enough to travel to Poland, UK and Denmark. 🇵🇱 🇬🇧 🇩🇰 

We are having lots of fun counting our skips and collecting lollipops to keep track of every 10 skips. It also helps us practise counting in tens for maths. Bonus!
