A busy January in Room 7

Second Class have been super busy throughout the month of January in room 7.

We really enjoyed completing the Active Breaks challenge as part of our Active Schools programme. These activities helped us to stay active and have fun together  during the school day especially on the rainy days.

In Irish, we were learning all about the weather forecast. We even created and presented our own weather forecasts as Gaeilge!

We explored poetry by writing Winter acrostic poems. We loved using our creativity to write our very own poems.

In Maths, we explored patterns. Some patterns grow and some patterns shrink! Have at look at some of our growing and shrinking patterns.

To finish off the long month of January and to kickstart February, we made our own St. Brigid's crosses using rushes. This is part of our Irish tradition and making the crosses reminded us of the kind and caring person St. Brigid was!
